Student Employment Opportunities
Northeastern students are integral to the Mills College Art Museum, contributing to exhibitions, programs, visitor experience, and caring for the collection—gaining skills that enrich their academic and professional lives.
Gallery Assistants
Gallery assistants ensure the safety and security of the art and gallery, assist with visitor questions and inquiries related to exhibitions and events, participate in artist and curator tours and lectures, sell exhibition publications, and assist with the logistics of public programs.
Publicity Assistants
Publicity assistants create content for MCAM’s social media platforms to showcase the Art Museum’s many offerings, design posters for upcoming events, and shape the Art Museum’s student outreach strategy.
Collections Assistant
Collections assistants work with the museum staff to catalog recent acquisitions, photograph objects in the collection, update the electronic database, and create condition reports for incoming objects.
Digital Collection Assistant Co-op
This 6-month co-op position will assist in digital collections management and research, in addition to supporting MCAM’s ongoing exhibition and events program. Learn more here.
